Emotional Counselling for Men

Where conversation brings magical outcomes

Emotional Counselling for Men

We believe that emotions are crucial to one’s identity. They are the guides for both decision making and avoiding unpleasant feelings. By means of emotional counselling, the person in therapy can be rendered capable of interpreting their personal emotional experiences better. Emotional Counselling helps a person be aware, and in-charge of their emotions. In this format, the therapist acts as a mentor and not just an observer.

Over the years, men have been known to supress their feelings and their emotions. They believe they should not show their emotions, and doing so can be interpreted as a sign of weakness. Over the years, Sumona has developed expertise in guiding men of all ages with emotional counselling. We provide a safe space for men to talk about their problems, fears, anxities, confusions, and more.

About Sumona

Sumona offers emotional counselling for those in need. The onset of COVID 19 witnessed a rise in mental and emotional health problems. The observation suggested an acute shortage of mental health professionals in the country. To overcome this problem, Dhanush Foundation, powered by ASSOCHAM, launched a dedicated platform under the name SUMONA, a space for counselling men who are experiencing emotional difficulties.

Confused, Anxious, Stressed or Depressed

Sumona helps men who feel confused, lost or purposeless. These include feelings of anxiety due to job loss, relationship struggles or health issues; depression due to negativity, family trouble etc.

Introverts,
Over-thinkers, Perfectionists

Sumona offers counselling to men who put too much pressure on themselves. We help introverts overcome their internal fears and face the real world. We help overthinkers rationalise and prioritise their thoughts.

Struggling Couples, Broken Hearts, Grieving Souls

Sumona offers counselling to those who are undergoing mental agony. The process of grieving doesn't always need to be sad; we help people understand that the process is one that includes cleansing, accepting and moving on.

Hi,

We provide online boutique counselling services across India for working men, struggling students, troubled fathers, and anyone who believes that they may need our help.

The idea for this organization comes from a deep rooted passion for resolving emotional issues and helping men achieve a higher standard of life. Our efforts are driven by passion and backed by experience. We have experience in dealing with the corporate space for the last 25 years. My career choice as a counsellor is based on passion and my journey started with a professional training as a counsellor. To enable me to deliver beter outcomes, I further achieved an International Graduate Diploma in Counselling Skills.

We follow a person-centred approach in counselling. When it comes to counselling, we value everything about you and your transformational power towards self-actualization.

As testimony to our hardwork and results, we have received the backing and support of reputed institutions and organizations. The initiative Sumona is run by Dhanush Foundation, and powered by ASSOCHAM.

Chandrima was the first person to whom I opened up, after I moved to a new city from Delhi. She was so kind, loving and compassionate in her dealings with me that I instantly struck up a bond with her. We had multiple counselling sessions and she was always there for me whenever I needed her. Her emotional support and guidance empowered me to produce that magical cure effect. Truly it was an outstanding boutique counselling service delivered, that too at zero price. I sincerely recommend Sumona to all people who are dealing with the emotional pain.

My only son had become estranged, and nothing could have been worse than this situation. Chandrima listened to me without any interruption, only intercepted with positive strokes. She had the desire and motivation to understand the other person. She helped me to introspect the situation very objectively and brought out the positive side of the situation. We had many sessions and at the end of them, I found my inner peace and became calm. I finally got my son back. I owe my life to her. I wish her more success and happiness in life. I heartily recommend Sumona to all who are in need of counselling.
